Perform CT scans in a timely and accurate manner, including knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy to properly tailor images for accurate interpretation.
Administer oral and intravenous contrast agents according to documented department guidelines; react quickly and effectively to adverse contrast reactions by obtaining accurate vital signs.
Communicate instructions for the exam to patients in a concise and reassuring manner. Ensure effective communication with patient via scanner intercom.
Monitor patient flow for maximum equipment utilization and minimum patient waiting time.
Report technical or mechanical malfunctions to Department Manager and service organization.
Maintain adequate supply levels in the scan room and order supplies as necessary.
Attend staff meetings.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Work Experience
0-1 years related work experience. Experience Details:
High school diploma or GED
Satisfactory completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Required Licenses and Certifications
AART - American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists License as a general radiographer in the state of Florida Upon Hire
Additional Required Qualifications
Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in Venipuncture.
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
