Part time position1:30p - 10p Friday, Saturday and Sunday or Casual position working 8 hours a week
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls and routes calls appropriately.
Call or message physicians and call hospital codes as necessary.
Will perform the telecommunication function directing calls with co-workers for a results-oriented outcome.
Essential personnel in disaster situations.
Use of Vocera for code and text notifications as needed.
Provide call volume reports to departments upon request for things such as stroke alerts, sepsis alerts, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Previous experience in a Customer Contact position preferred.
Multi-line phone experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent verbal telephone communication skills
Active listening skills
Ability to handle stress
Ability to make effective decision in emergency and stressful situations.
Multi-tasking ability: able to prioritize and switch focus quickly based on call center needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team under stressful circumstances.
Demonstrated knowledge of professional email standards, grammar and spelling.
