Description
Enterprise Information Protection is looking for a Lead Scrum Master whom will play the role of a Release Train Engineer for multiple teams within a program in EIP. The RTE will be an active member of EIP agile transformation team to implement agile processes, standards/guardrails, and tools focusing on value, flow, quality, predictability, and driving continuous improvement with your aligned teams.
The successful candidate will act as a servant leader and create an environment that empowers team members to focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration. The RTE will optimize team productivity by removing program-level impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the program's goals.
Responsibilities
Drive cross team, Agile Release Train and departmental planning, collaboration, coordination, and impediment resolution
Make work visible and drive horizontal collaboration with business and technology partners
Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments
Support the program's readiness for incremental planning; prepare for and facilitate program increment planning sessions
Drive continuous improvement through the facilitation of Retrospectives and leverage metrics to identify areas of opportunity to improve delivery
Understand domain architecture to identify upstream/downstream dependencies to support the program in change and impact management
Utilize data and maintain its integrity to make recommendations on team metrics to measure teams' capacity, predictability, and maturity
Help establish governance structure where decision-making is weighted toward empowered teams
Provide coaching on Agile principles
Required Qualifications
5+ years as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer
3+ years of experience working with agile methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects
Advanced facilitation, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills
Experience with one or more of the following: launching Agile Release Trains, organizing and facilitating PI planning, driving Inspect & Adapt sessions and/or actively improving the workflow of the train to deliver value every sprint and PI
Mastery of complex facilitation and dependency management techniques
Experience coaching and mentoring others
Expertise in ability to facilitate the removal of impediments
Validated agile learning/credentials such as Certified Scrum Master , IC Agile Team Facilitator , SAFe Agilist, or SAFe Release Train Engineer
Experience with Agile Tracking tools ; preference for Azure DevOps
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree
Experience working with Cyber Security teams
Experience working in a Scaled Agile environment
Advanced certification such as Certified Scrum Professional or Scaled Agile Program Consultant
Experience with Portfolio Tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Align, PlanView/Leankit
