THE ROLE:

To help manage our expansive growth, we are adding a technical project manager who can further streamline and systematize our most impactful and complex cross-team development projects. You will drive the successful planning and execution of programs and projects for the Engineering department, working closely with multiple Product Managers, Scrum Leaders, Technical Leads, Engineering Managers, and Release & Launch management.

This role will be part of our Product Operations team, which is designed to improve alignment, communication and processes for strategic initiatives, product development, release, launch, and iteration. By sitting at the confluence of the software development and delivery lifecycle, this role will increase our development throughput and maximize our software delivery predictability.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

  • Manage multiple cross-team product development projects, using standardized templates to ensure all stakeholders adhere to processes.
  • Provide consistent updates with clearly-defined development milestones, dependencies, and sequencing identified.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders; lead communication about project goals and status. Facilitate meetings with a wide variety of cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure all technical requirements, resourcing, and customer interactions are planned, managed, and prioritized correctly.
  • Regularly assess and modify schedules with the changing needs of the business.
  • Monitor project timelines and resources to ensure quality expectations are being met.
  • Independently manage successful projects without direct supervision in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Assess dependencies and performance to ensure ongoing improvements with each process iteration.
  • Hold individuals and teams accountable for meeting commitments with confidence and competence.
  • Make recommendations to continually enhance organizational effectiveness in product delivery and other areas as business dictates.
  • As the end-to-end project coordinator, serve as the reliable source of truth for all assigned projects.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience with leading technical initiatives in product development programs.
  • Experience with task/issue tracking tools, such as JIRA.
  • Experience with project documentation and collaboration tools, such as Confluence.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, creative solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while remaining detail oriented.
  • Ability to lead by influence, negotiate, and provide insight at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to say no and get buy-in.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Open minded and questioning of the status quo.
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment, if not currently employed by Code42.

    PREFERRED:

  • Education: Computer science degree is not required; experience with managing large groups of stakeholders including software development teams is preferred.
  • Certifications: Project Management certification preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years project management experience is preferred.
