Senior Data Scientist, THV
This is an exciting opportunity within a company that leads the heart valve market, not only in terms of market share but also in cutting edge technology. The Transcatheter Heart Valve team extends Edwardss leadership into the transcatheter area, providing immediate new treatment alternatives to patients with no or few other alternatives, eventually positioning THV as the treatment of choice for aortic stenosis.
The Senior Data Scientist will optimize impact of programs across stakeholders using deep analytical insights and machine learning / AI to make data driven decisions and recommendations.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Create, test, and/or improve complex algorithms, NLP , and machine learning models by developing complex algorithms, analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports
Analyze, test, interpret and report complex data-driven insights, algorithmic results, and Machine Learning model performance data. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
Conduct program and ad hoc analysis and compile dashboards for teams.
Cleanse and label structured and unstructured data and may collaborate and guide outside agency partners in metrics, analytics, and reporting.
Develop complex design control documents including algorithm requirement specs, and risk documents
Test and execute new opportunities to integrate with additional data sources that support optimization. Identify and integrate software and analytics tools to enhance Analytics capabilities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in in related field , 4 years previous experience required ORMaster's Degree or equivalent in related field , 3 years previous experience including either industry or industry/education required
Experience with machine learning techniques such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc
Experience using statistical computer languages to manipulate large data sets Python , SAS, SQL, Tableau and Tableau Prep
Experience in data visualization tools and ability to effectively communicate information through visuals
Experience with using web services

Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer negotiating and relationship management skills
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Full understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning model development, and/or Control Systems
Full understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work with knowledge of industry practices
