Patient Service Representative-BUU - Cardiovascular Institute - Saint Luke's-Full-Time

Roles & Responsibilities:

Registers patients by recording clinical, financial and demographic information.

Enters clinical, financial, and demographic information into computer system.

Greets patients entering registration area.

Answers telephones and directs messages to appropriate parties.

Collects payments from patients for services rendered.

Processes third party payer requests for payment.

Schedules patient appointments, referrals and consults on computer/manual system.

Provides information to Billing, Accounting and Medical Records.

Deposits and reconciles all cash against deposits and posted transactions.

Ensures deposits are safeguarded and secured in accordance with organizational policy.

Requirements :

Education :

High school diploma or general education diploma and some college required.

Experience :

Experience in a medical/customer service environment preferred.

Knowledge of Cardiology CPT codes and diagnosis codes required.

Knowledge of authorizations process required.

Knowledge of EMR epic system required.

Knowledge of insurance verifications required.

Basic MS Office Suite Skills required.
