Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What Were Looking For:

Iridium is seeking a IT Security Analyst III to join our Information Technology team. As an IT Security Analyst III youll be responsible independently running critical security initiatives across the organization. Working in this role, youll gain valuable experience working with IT teams in multiple departments while making a meaningful impact on Iridiums ability to provide highly available and secure systems to employees, commercial customers, and business departments.


What Youll Do:

Independently lead projects, gather broad stakeholder input, and business requirements, implement solutions, and communicate frequently to drive projects/deliverables to completion

Guide security solution implementations to meet detection and response standards

Scripting to automate certain analysis tasks and improve operations

Analyze existing infrastructure and services and use data to make decisions

Build productive working relationships with outside vendors tasked with providing or augmenting Iridium IT security

Support Vulnerability detection capabilities of implemented systems in multiple environments

Participate in design meetings, reviews, implementation projects and coordinate with other departments

Maintain monitoring systems for assigned systems and participate in a rotating coverage schedule to provide off-hours support for all IT Security systems

Maintain appropriate logs, databases and history to perform trending analysis and take proactive steps to ensure the proper operation of systems, proposing solutions to issues as needed

Maintain appropriate tools to assist in the execution of duties

Responsible for maintaining appropriate and current documentation processes and procedures

Suggest improvements and seek additional training to maintain skills necessary to execute duties

The ability to establish valuable relationships with team members, managers, and internal/external technology partners to ensure end to end quality of all products, services and systems; customer service focus

The ability to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work

Proactivity in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge, specifically regarding best practices in advanced persistent threats, tools, techniques, and procedures of attackers

Ability to implement security controls and technologies in the major cloud providers and SaaS services

Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced 24/7 environment

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

Things You Must Bring to the Table:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/MIS or similar

5+ years of relevant experience

3+ years of experience with Firewalls, Web Proxies, IDS/IPS, and similar security systems with a depth of knowledge of IT security applications, tools, and methodologies

5+ years of experience in Windows or UNIX environments

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

Security certifications and/or training

Experience in a telecommunications or other highly available environments
