Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Financial Management IT Portfolio consultant helps the client analyze DoDs current FM IT footprint to identify ways to streamline and modernize it, as well as developing performance metrics for and monitoring compliance with applicable regulations. Our team supports customers mission to enhance and implement policies and processes to improve, standardize, and simply the business and systems environment to be more capable and cost-effective.

Specific responsibilities include:

Assist with FM IT strategy and approach development, including standing up and monitoring resulting initiatives

Analyze the current state of DoDs FM IT portfolio, gather and report on the status of corrective actions and retirement, and develop recommendations for the future state

Analyze information systems data to identify trends and anomalies, draw insights, and develop recommendations for future actions.

Inventory FM IT compliance requirements to DoD business systems, such as the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act , including developing assessment criteria and performance and reporting metrics.

Draft white papers, presentations, narratives, etc. for senior leadership.

Provide meeting support, including briefing preparation and stakeholder outreach

Qualifications

Required

Clearance

Active interim Secret clearance or higher

Education

Bachelor degree in a field related to the tasking

Experience

5 years of consulting experience supporting customers in the federal government

At least 3 years of experience in information technology portfolio management or related consulting

At least 2 years of experience implementing, executing, and/or testing internal controls required by FFMIA including developing testing and/or compliance criteria

English language proficiency

Desired

Ability to work independently identifying and resolving issues as they arise

Ability to shift tasks quickly to align with emerging priorities and meet short-fused deadlines

Experience in working with the following systems: DOD Information Technology Portfolio Repository , or equivalent IT portfolio tool

Experience entering, extracting, and/or analyzing financial audit systems/datasets in the FIAR Systems Database and/or the Notification of Findings and Recommendations Database or similar platforms/information repositories

Experience with reviewing or assessing the Standard Financial Information Systems compliance of financial systems

Experience developing and delivering briefings to executive leadership audiences, including creating narratives, talking points, and graphics from a range of information sources

Proactive communicator that adjusts messaging depending on level of audience

Interest in proactive problem solving
