The Lead Medical Receptionist will serve as a valuable resource and provide support for the other Medical Receptionists on the team for daily responsibilities.

We are seeking a professional, bright, and enthusiastic person with excellent people and communication skills. You will play a vital role not only in the efficient operation of our practice but will also help to shape patient experience through your friendly, professional, and attentive interaction with each patient. You will coordinate the flow of patients through the office, assist patients with payments, help with billing and insurance information, schedule appointments, maintain patient charts as well as various other administrative tasks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and Check-In/Check-Out patients
Prepare patient charts and verify insurance coverage
Verify insurance coverage and patient information and ensure the accuracy of the information entered into the electronic medical record system
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Comply with all company policies and procedures
Collect copays and other patient balances
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data
Use computer system to generate information necessary for billing, including insurance and PCP information
Reconcile daily charges and cash, checks, and bankcard payments
Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and other state and federal regulations
Minimum 1-year medical office experience is strongly preferred
Previous supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred
Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant program or equivalent preferred, but not required
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal, telephone & written communication skills
Computer proficient
We need someone who is detail oriented, dependable and a team player who is willing to jump in and help others at all times
