Boeing Commercial Airplanes Cabin and Network Systems, E-Enabling team is looking for a S enior Computing Systems Architect to help define, develop, deploy, and maintain architectural solutions. This position is available in Seattle, Washington.

As part of this team you will have the opportunity to work with a talented project team to design a highly integrated application architecture solution using a mix of Commercial off-the-shelf and internally developed systems. This system plays a critical part to Boeing customers in defining and maintaining e-Enabling Ground System Architecture. You will take the role of Application Architect, and work closely with the Information Technology project team and business counterparts from Boeing Commercial Airplanes to partner to define and deliver technology solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Serve as Application Architect for e-Enabling

Responsible for designing technically sound capabilities and solutions, research and transformation, systems roadmaps, technology roadmaps and risk mitigation

Determine design of system interfaces by coordinating with 737, 777, and 787 airplane programs and other project teams to gather and document interface control documents

Provide technical leadership and guidance, development and architectural best practices, and hands on support to the e-Enabling Service Ready Team

Engage and collaborate with the business to understand requirements and strategies, as well as tackle business problems, through the design and development of applications and information systems

Investigates new technologies and product opportunities that could be used in product improvement and security

Partner with solution architects, developers, and product specialists in secure architectural solutions, advise on technical solution approach, and monitor technical execution

Advise on software development technical best practices within the team

Provide mentorship and coaching to colleagues within and outside of team

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications :

4+ years of experience with airplane configuration

Experience providing architecture support to a project or domain that consists of multiple applications and/or technologies

Experience with leading enterprise-wide IT products in Product Management, Project Management, Development and/or Architecture role

Experience with PKI web server technology

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor Degree or higher or certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience

Experience in technical writing and understanding aviation regulations

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience .
