Sabre Systems is hiring for an Embedded Software Engineer to support one of our government customers, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, CA. The selected candidate should have knowledge of and will:
Source control and collaboration software tools
Software and build tools )
Software development tools such as GreenHills and WindRiver products
Basic to moderate understanding of electronic principles and hardware
Configuration management
Perform knowledge development in a fluid development environment
Develop software and participate in software reviews
Work and apply Agile principles in embedded environments
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CE, EE, Mathematics, or Engineering; preferred Master Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CE, EE, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field
Three years of experience in systems engineering, test and evaluation, and/or analysis
Experience with:
C/C++/Ada/VHDL/Python
Object Oriented Design Principles, Design Patterns, and UML
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain an maintain an Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation
Highly Desired:
Five years of experience with embedded software development
Security + Certification
Experience with:
Aircraft embedded systems and 1553 bus messaging
Developing and debugging in a RTOS environment
Aircraft Operational Flight Programs
Systems of Systems software development for application on Electronic Warfare
Lab equipment such as bus analyzers, signal generators, and DMMs
TSP/PSP
Leading software projects
Software planning
Technical presentations
Understanding of:
DevSecOps Concepts and/or practices
CMMI
Agile, Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework
Cloud Computing
Assembly programming languages
Reading electronic schematics
Computer architecture principles
Secured software coding practices
Software and system architecture
Ability to Write :
Code from requirements or early concepts
Scripts and perform automated software testing
