Job Description / Qualifications
Responsible for leading the Vendor Management Organization for White Cap. Establishes and executes White Cap's Information Technology Sourcing environment including the External Resourcing program as well as management of all Software, Hardware, and SaaS agreements.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Leads IT Sourcing and vendor strategy to enable IT Business to maximize value they receive from suppliers to meet IT business objectives.
Serves as primary interface with IT Business leaders to define and analyze IT demand and resourcing decisions.
Facilitates cost effective program structure, supplier identification, and sourcing strategies.
Provides leadership in improving IT Procurement processes while developing team capabilities.
Manages stakeholder and vendor governance including supplier performance management.
Manages and negotiates enterprise contracts including the renewal of volume and enterprise licensing and support agreements.
Partners with the Acquisitions Services group to fully integrate incoming business into the defined VMO Program.
Establishes and monitors IT purchasing and support contracts, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, vendor relationships, and performance.
Evaluates optimum model type for software and hardware agreements.
Directs team in execution of VMO scope building capability and efficiency across team members.
Manages VMO program aligning to Chief Information Officer as well as IT Business needs and evolution and adjusts program to accommodate integration of acquired company IT needs.
Manages direct and indirect teams from remote locations into a cohesive and efficient execution.
Develops, implements and enforces VMO processes across all businesses.
Builds out and upscales the organization to meet the organizational objectives of a rapidly growing organization. Builds out the team and ensures the employees have the skills and competencies required for the the future state.
Partners closely with teams across IT, General Counsel, Finance, Acquisition Services, Risk Management, and HR groups to properly manage contracts that enable the IT function to execute business objectives.
Builds and manages relationships with vendors who meet the strategic goals of the organization.
Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.

Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications / Job Specific Details
Five years of vendor management and/or external resourcing experience. Three + years management experience
Strong leadership and project management skills, skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving
Experience with IT Service Management systems, including asset management functionality and modules
Understands the IT market and applying knowledge to continuously improve White Caps IT Sourcing environment
Experience in negotiation of IT SW, HW and Services contracts
Excellent negotiation, relationship and interpersonal skills, well versed in communication with IT users and business leaders to understand requirements, expectations and value measures
