Participate in capacity planning discussion and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of proposed solutions
Responsible for the development and implementation of the VCM solution and to ensure successful introduction across the organization & with stakeholders
Utilize the VCM tool to ensure that customers have the solutions best suited to their capacity requirements/needs
Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed for capacity planning
Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors
Possess a broad knowledge of technical resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members with the supported businesses
Possess strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards
Overseeing key capacity controls to ensure ongoing effectiveness
Track record of developing and maintaining senior-level stakeholder relationships
Must be a self-starter and self-motivated and be able to prioritize accordingly depending on demands from businesses and app/dev teams
Be comfortable talking to development, production and infrastructure teams and offering capacity planning opinions
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is beneficial
12+ years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus
Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not a must
Experience in Application Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual , MQ , Database, Network, ITIL , Service Management preferred
Maintains and supports highly complex applications and their operating environments. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert for a portfolio of applications. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems potentially spanning multiple applications, to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders Collaborates with business, application development and infrastructure stakeholders. Lead production readiness reviews and PTO controls for new releases and projects.Analyzes system requirements. Reviews and evaluates plans for major projects and initiatives to ensure they meet system needs.Coordinates the monitoring of major changes to applications and their operating environment. Analyzes the most complex issues that arise.Collaborates with development, quality assurance, operations, support and infrastructure teams to manage application capacity and application monitoring & instrumentatio.nCreation of architectural diagrams and design specifications to aid automation.• Designs, implements, and maintains automation toolsets for configuration management, infrastructure and application deployment processes.Complex Incident, Problem Management & Troubleshooting.May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.Contributes to the achievement of area objectivesMODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial10-12 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
