Position Summary

The Jr. Credit / Banking Analyst assists the Assistant Relationship Manager in credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customer portfolios and provides ad-hoc sales support to the Treasury Management Officer.  The position requires working in the Seattle banking office for the majority of time with some flexibility for remote work.
 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with the Banks Mission, Vision and Core Values; and provide the Banks customers with timely, responsive and exceptional service in accordance with the Banks customer service standards.
  • Assist in investigating, interpreting and analyzing personal and business credit reports.
  • Analyzes financial statements using Moodys or other tools available
  • Assist in monitoring loans through timely collection of financial information and calculation of financial covenants
  • Assist in or independently prepares credit approval documents for less complex credit actions
  • Contributes to auditing files and keeping loan and file systems current by researching and gathering information about business clients
  • Conducts industry research that is relevant to lending opportunities
  • Monitoring bank tickler system for upcoming maturities for compliance dates. 
  • Conducts research and prepares presentations for annual relationship reviews with clients
  • Provides admin support for one or more significant client relationships with customized pricing
  • Prepare account opening documentation required for Know Your Customer requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with banking regulations.

     

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting Business or other related area; or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to conduct basic analysis of business financial statements
  • Proficient computer skills with collaboration and productivity tools including Windows-based operating systems and office suites ; spreadsheet applications to organize data used for advanced data analysis; internet; email; and bank software.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision with multiple priorities and deadlines
