Automotive manufacturer in Poway area seeking Quality Technician for 1st shift position. $20-$22 an hour depending on specific experience and qualifications.

The Quality Technician II is a mid-level position advancing beyond basic quality control skills and knowledge. A keen eye and attention to detail are necessary to succeed in this role.

Perform inspection of incoming materials, subassemblies and finished assemblies

Identify non-conforming materials for disposition

Enter information into system databases; such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Access & Excel

Performs basic failure analysis of product and/or components to identify potential causes

Draft NCMR reports for review and subsequent release

Maintain and administrate Calibration System

Draft or change process, procedure and work instruction documentation

Actively participate in quality improvement meetings

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of Quality inspection exp

Able to affectively perform measurements with calipers, height gages, Go/ No-Go gages is a plus

Basic ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is a plus

Basic technical understanding of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies is a plus

Able to learn and utilize SAP

Basic knowledge of Microsoft office

Automotive manufacturing and assembly work experience a plus

Experience performing mechanical measurements and inspection plans

Moderate ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Experience utilizing acceptance sampling plans a plus

ERP and Microsoft office programs

Knowledge of ISO 9001and IATF 16949 quality systems a plus
