Opportunity
The Business Operations Analyst role will be responsible for coordinating strategic business initiatives, growth, and sustainability activities as well as support on going activities critical in the closing and ongoing maintenance of complex investment transactions that create attractive investments for MassMutuals GIA .
The Team
The Direct Private Investments team is small, close-knit, and highly collaborative. This role will be a critical member of the team. The Business Operations Analyst will support all aspects of operations working closely with the closely team members across the Investment Management group and internal partners.
The Impact:
The Business Operations Analyst will participate in the strategic operational and infrastructure development, minimize risk and maximize operational flexibility and efficiency critical to the DPI program.
Responsibilities:
Participate in strategic, operational and infrastructure development, particularly in development of reporting and presentation materials to clearly communicate these initiatives and strategies.
Provides data management support: collect data for review and analysis.
Produce comprehensive executive summaries and reports; present data in effective, clear formats tailored to the needs of specific audiences.
Aid in the execution of strategies and provide strategic insight and decision support.
Research best practices to develop solutions to business needs; assists in developing recommendations and solutions
Help in organizing data, documenting policies and procedures to evaluate and/or communicate to the team. Make recommendations for improvements in operational processes, policies, and procedures.
Take on ad hoc and special projects.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree with at least 1 year of experience in project management, operations, finance or related.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask and deliver work products on short timeframes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set
Ability to work closely with senior management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to succeed in a fast-paced, team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability and openness to learn operational, accounting, and legal aspects of investments
