This hourly position serves and supports all the business units of First American Bank through the implementation of technological business processes and systems. This role will primarily be responsible for the administration and technical support of the Commercial Loan systems. This position helps to streamline department processes and distribute information in the most efficient manner. This is a more experienced position within the Technical Support Analyst Team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and support software applications used by the Bank and the Commercial Loan department.

Responsible for documenting configuration changes, change management requests, user guides, admin guides, and job aids.

Evaluate and analyze software products and/or new modules that may be needed to satisfy a business need.

Work directly with individuals within the business units, Commercial liaisons, and with the Team to make recommendations for streamlining processes and to develop project requirements.

Align the needs of the business units with the capabilities delivered by the IT department and serve as a liaison between those groups.

Effectively take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision while working on multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. At times performing the duties of a Project Manager.

Troubleshoot software problems and work with the development team to develop solutions.

Provide advanced troubleshooting skills to solve technical problems.

Isolate, reproduce, and track defects and verify fixes.

Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned applications, understanding and documenting the environment scheme. Must be able to articulate knowledge of all the intricacies of the application, including all the integrated subsystems and processes. This includes working with the development and QA teams to test functionality and deploying solutions in the production environment.

Develop test scripts and procedures for ensuring the software products meets organization standards and end user requirements.

Perform System upgrades to various corporate applications.

Perform ongoing tasks to maintain and enhance overall system performance.

Assist with training of the Technical Support Analysts I. Mentor for other colleagues on procedures/guidelines.

Assist with training and coaching for less experienced support staff on procedures, policies, and regulations.


Bachelors degree or Professional certification is required.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in computer programming, business analysis, or system administration required.

Previous experience supporting, maintaining, and utilizing commercial loan software preferred.

Previous banking industry experience preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required.

Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and using available resources to mitigate risks.

Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.

Attention to details and organized a must.

Must have an above average proficiency with various Microsoft products, including, but not limited to: Visio, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365.

Previous experience supporting, maintaining, and utilizing commercial loan software preferred.

Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows.

This position may require periodic travel to attend in person meetings and satisfy office obligations/responsibilities.

Typical scheduled hours are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekend or evening hours may occasionally be required depending upon business need.
