Were looking for a Level 3 User Experience Researcher . This role is part of the security design team and will focus on driving research initiatives for Spunks security portfolio.

As a UX Researcher, Security you will support the team by bringing data to design and product decisions to shape the future of Splunks security products. You will lead a range of research projects to gather data from users to uncover issues and then ensure Splunks security products are meeting their needs. You are a partner in ensuring the customer's voice is at the forefront of the conversation and decision-making process.

Your responsibilities include designing, executing, synthesizing and presenting quality research projects. Through your work and collaborative process, you improve non-user researchers understanding and engagement of user needs and how to best address those needs. Were looking for thinkers and innovators who are ready to contribute their ideas and energy to interesting questions in a growing and exciting space.

What youll do:

  • Design and conduct user research, and communicate research insights to stakeholders and team members
  • You will work with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineering to identify research objectives
  • Execute research methods like 1-on-1 interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, unmoderated user testing, surveys, and workshops
  • Create deliverables in the form of engaging reports, journey maps, or other materials as needed by the project team
  • Develop frameworks that support developing Splunks understanding of customers, their needs, and market opportunities
  • Be an advocate for and drive user-centered design processes
  • Drive design and strategy impact by make research findings convincing and actionable for partners to create a smarter, more informed, and more empathetic team
  • This is a very hands-on role, and includes managing participant recruitment, data collection , data synthesis and analysis, and delivery of findings and recommendations.

    What youll bring:

  • 4+ years experience doing applied User Experience Research
  • Degree in the field of HCI, Human Factors, Design, Psychology, Anthropology or a related field / relevant work experience
  • A curiosity for technology, how data is shaping the future of software development and the future of cloud
  • Knowledge and the ability to communicate and convince others of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods
  • Knowledge of user experience heuristics and principles of web and mobile applications
  • Experience collaborating with designers, other researchers, and product managers to create high-quality research plans that align to the business goals
  • Skilled at synthesizing and turning large amounts of unstructured data into meaningful insights, frameworks and product recommendations
  • Ability to own and execute mixed-methods research projects independently
  • Track record of creating valuable findings and impacting product decisions with quality data and insights
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage your project in a dynamic organization
  • Engaging, detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
