The National Association for the Education of Young Children is seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant to join the HR Team. Working part-time, daytime hours the HR Assistant provides support to specific processes and administrative procedures relating to hires, terminations, benefits, and files. Hours can be flexible and up to 20 hours per week. Position can be a hybrid arrangement or fully remote according to current policy.

Key Responsibilities
New Hire Onboarding: prepare and track new hire documents; create new electronic folders Benefits Administration: provide emails and attachments to launch benefits changes and claims initiation Offboarding: prepare and track offboarding documents, schedule meetings HR Department Support: organize and maintain electronic folders and files; maintain organization chart and employee contact lists Communication: monitor HR's general email box; triage messages to HR team members; respond to employee inquiries and requests for assistance Education and Experience Ongoing interest and pursuit of learning in Human Resources Related experience, full-time or part-time, in a professional office or human resources department helpful Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Personal motivation to learn Highly computer literate including MS365 and SharePoint Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, listening Ability to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner with keen attention to details Professional approach to providing exceptional service to employees Willing and able to maintain flexibility and patience with changing priorities Physical Demands There are specific physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
