Milhouse Engineering and Construction is looking for a Electrical Engineering QC Reviewer to review protective system designs, physical layout designs, and calculations as a key member of our Substation team within our Power group! This role will be a part time role at any one of our handful of office locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review client and regulatory requirements.

Review of green and brown field high voltage electrical substation projects.

Review plans & sections, details, control building layouts, P&C one line diagram, AC/DC schematics, control panel layout and wiring diagram, station service AC/DC distribution diagrams.

Report safety, health and quality issues to management.

Assist management as directed.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proven ability to consistently produce high quality of work

Ability to consistently work independently

Advanced presentation, written, verbal communication skills

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Familiar with Grounding Calculations

Memberships and active participation in discipline specific professional organizations such as IEEE.

Experience with power system studies such as short circuit and coordination studies.

Familiarity with applicable IEEE / EIC codes and standards.

Understanding of CAD software.

Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel as well as ACAD or MicroStation and Revit.

Education and Experience:

Four year technical degree from an ABET accredited institution.

Professional registration

Five years of protection & control / substation design engineering experience.
