This position is responsible for performing regulatory testing, injury/illness care, wellness education for employees within the EMT scope of practice, the structure of the Client Standards, polices, procedures and treatment care guidelines.
Provide first aid and medical care to clinic employees as requested/needed, and within the EMT scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director and client policy / procedures.
The weekend shift positions that are open are 12 hour positions.
Saturday and Sunday:
7 am -7 pm
7pm-7 am
At client location
Perform medical surveillance exams as per protocol and within scope of practice. such as hearing, vision, respiratory and skin, asbestos and reproductive health confined space and Power Industrial Vehicles, & fit testing.
Provide emergency response according to client requirements
Provide onsite first-aid treatment
Becoming familiar with the plant, especially aware of areas in the plant most likely to require a hazardous material response
Participate in ergonomic team activities
Participate in the emergency response team activities, drills, and training
Inventories supplies in the designated space
Schedule and perform all medical surveillance exams to ensure compliance
Provide drug testing
Provide education to employees as needed within scope of practice
Assist with travel related assessment services
Provide wellness coaching and non-occupational care, as appropriate
Participating in general flow of clinic operations
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must be certified EMT in the state of Indiana
Must have BLS/CPR
