W ork Schedule :

60% FTE, 24 hours per week. Night shift position that includes two, 12 hour shifts, Sunday - Thursday. Holidays and weekends would be assigned to call according to the PACU scheduling guidelines. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This position will work at the University Hospital.

We are seeking a PACU RN to:

Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients who may also have underlying medical and emotional problems.

Develop a therapeutic relationship by establishing trust and enabling the patient and/or family to verbalize the requirements for care comfortably.
Education :

Preferred - Bachelor of Science - Nursing

Work Experience :

Minimum -

One year of current independent PACU, Emergency Department, Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, or Surgical IMC experience or

One year of current independent UW Health surgical general care experience with adult populations or

One year of current independent UW Health medical general care with previous PACU experience
Preferred - Two or more years of current independent PACU, Emergency Department, Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, or Surgical IMC experience

Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin. CPR certification. ACLS
