Directly responsible for the efficient, effective, accountable, and customer oriented operations of the finance, patient finance services, information services, clinical information, health information services, decision support, facilities, and materials management departments.
Responsible for oversight of contracts and contract management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Responsible to collaborate with and effectively develop and maintain working relationships with other members of the Senior Leadership Team and key Board members to maximize organizational success.
A role model for fiscal/business discipline and proactive, evidence-based decision making, serving as a subject matter expert and facilitator for organizational and divisional initiatives.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or related discipline required .
Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline required
Professional certification such as CPA or CMA strongly preferred
CFO REQUIREMENTS:
8-10+ years of progressively-responsible healthcare financial executive experienced in a home care, hospice and/or hospital healthcare
8+ years supervisory responsibility required.
Technical skills and experience in financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, financial planning, decision support, forecasting analysis, cash flow management, audit management, and internal controls required
Experience in developing and managing banking and credit relationships.
Broad knowledge of information services, health information services, facilities and materials management, contracting, healthcare operations, and compliance essential
Direct, working knowledge of patient information, accounting, and decision support systems
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to work with complex mathematical/financial concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
Experience with EMR, Sage Intacct, and ADP strongly preferred
Knowledge of structure and utilization of the accounting system, patient information system, and other system resources,
Ability to prepare and/or oversee preparation of complex computer analyses and studies
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to write correspondence and reports and create presentations that synthesize complex information
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with Board, managers and staff at all levels of the organization
Access to organization-wide sensitive and confidential information
Experience with health care related program development and managed care
Expertise with marketing concepts and business planning
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment
