The Wellness Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Wellness Coordinate will design and lead gentle fitness and yoga classes offered through LivingWell Cancer Resource Center, part of Northwestern Medicine. The position is responsible for the facilitation, coordination, oversight and administrative tasks related to Living Well's mindful movement and stress reduction fitness and yoga programs along with services that directly support the strategic plan and vision of LivingWell Cancer Resource Center.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in health or business related field
• Fitness Instructor with current National Certification in group fitness instruction OR
• • Yoga instructor with current Certification RYT-200 level or higher by Yoga Alliance
Minimum of three years of experience, virtual or in-person
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent communication, project and time management skills
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Mission driven, energetic, self-motivated and detail oriented
Preferred:
Oncology experience
